Photo feature

Edit any photo by describing the change

Upload a photo and write what should change, such as a new background, a different jacket or warmer light. Banana Studio applies the edit with the image model you choose. Say what must stay the same as well, and the model works around it.

  • From 11 credits
  • 5 models to choose from
  • Edit with up to 4 photos

Opens Banana Studio with your prompt filled in. You add your photo there, and the price shows before you confirm.

AI photo editor: what it does well

  • Edits in plain words

No layers and no masks. Write the change the way you would brief a retoucher, and add what must stay as it is.

  • Combine up to four photos

Add a person and a jacket, or a product and a scene, and describe how they should come together.

  • One-tap tools for common jobs

For fixes such as background removal, upscaling, lighting or red-eye, pick a ready-made tool instead of writing a prompt.

  • Choose the model

Nano Banana Pro for edits that must keep a face exact, GPT Image 2.5 for set pixel sizes, and FLUX.2 Klein for low-cost tries.

Who it is for

  • Sellers

Put product photos on clean or seasonal backgrounds for listings and social posts.

  • Creators

Restyle a picture, change an outfit or fix the light before you post it.

  • Anyone with a camera roll

Remove a distraction, fix the colors or try a new look without learning editing software.

Good to know

  • Short, specific requests work best. Make one change per edit and build up in steps.
  • Some models apply their own content rules, so a request can be refused even when it follows Banana Studio's Terms.
  • Edit only photos you own or may use, and never present an edited picture as a real photo where that could mislead.

Questions about AI photo editor

What can the AI photo editor change?

Backgrounds, clothing, colors, lighting, objects, style and expression, and it can combine elements from several photos. Describe the change in a sentence, or use a one-tap tool for common fixes.

How many credits does an edit with the AI photo editor cost?

It depends on the model and settings: from 11 credits (FLUX.2 Klein) to 100 credits (Nano Banana Pro, 4K) per image. The 7-day introduction ($1.99, 240 credits) covers 21 edits at the lowest setting, and the Pro plan's 2,200 monthly credits cover about 200 edits. The exact price for your settings is shown on the Create button before you start.

Which model should I use for photo editing?

Nano Banana Pro for edits where a face or a product must stay exact. GPT Image 2.5 when you need a set pixel size. FLUX.2 Klein when you want many cheap tries. Seedream 4.5 is strongest at new, realistic images.

How is this different from the Editor tab?

The Editor tab lists ready-made one-tap tools, each with a fixed price. Change a photo in Create takes any instruction you write. Both draw on the same credit balance.

Can I undo an AI edit?

Your original photo is never changed. Each edit creates a new image in History, so you can go back to any earlier version and edit from there.

Does editing a photo several times reduce quality?

Each edit is a new image made by the model, so small details can drift over many rounds. Make each change in one clear step, and run Upscale Image at the end if you need more pixels.
